The Fridge

This is how I dispense the final product. I got tired of bottling. Having to sterialize all those bottles and fill them everytime was a pain. Now I only have to fill one 5 gallon keg every batch.

There are two gas cylinders on the left. The large one is a Nitrogen/Carbon Dioxide combo gas. The small one is pure Carbon Dioxide. I use the CO2 for most beers and root beer. The Nitro/CO2 is used for the "NITRO TAP".

The tap on the right is a real Guinness tap that had previously been used in a bar and has since been refurbished. It has a disc that degasses the beer and if you have never had beer from Nitro Tap before you haven't yet lived. It makes a head with the consistancy of shaving cream and gives the beer a very smooth creamy taste. If you have never had a nitro tap beer, ask for one next time you go to your favorite pub. Nitro Tap is mainly used for dark beers and holiday beers but it works great on hefeweizen also!

Here are some more photos.
